How Verif-ID handles your content

When you submit text, an image, audio, or video for forensic analysis, the content is sent securely to the Verif-ID analysis pipeline. A SHA-256 fingerprint is computed so the exact bytes can later be re-verified. The analysis engine inspects linguistic patterns, visual artifacts, and codec metadata to estimate the probability that the content was AI-generated, then returns a structured verdict and findings. Processing happens in-memory for the analysis request and is not used to train any external model.

By default, Verif-ID stores the cryptographic hash, the analysis summary, detected markers, and the certificate metadata — enough to make the attestation independently verifiable without retaining your raw source file. You may choose to retain the original file for your own records; if you do, it is referenced from your certificate and protected by your account. You can delete individual certificates or your entire account at any time, which removes the associated content and records.

Liveness checks capture a single webcam frame to confirm a real, present person and produce a confidence score. That frame may be referenced from the certificate you issue, but biometric templates are never enrolled into a face-recognition database and are not used to identify you across services. Identity records can be deleted from your profile whenever you choose.

You can export, review, and permanently delete your certificates and account from the Profile page at any time. Deletion purges your issued certificates, your plan records, and your authentication record. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered. We never sell your data and do not share it with third parties for advertising.
